The health and safety of our customers, employees, subcontractors and the communities in which we operate is our highest priority. In March, to support countrywide efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19, we took the precautionary step of temporarily closing our sites and sales suites. This closure was a voluntary decision, with UK government advising that work on construction sites was permitted.

On May 4 we will begin a phased and progressive re-opening of our construction sites following the implementation of new working practices based on the Construction Leadership Council’s new Site Operating Procedures.

The Wallis Road, Stone Studios team will return to site on 4 May in a safe and controlled manner, and with a number of robust protective measures in place.

For the moment, our sales suites and head office will remain closed, and we will continue to support our customers remotely. As a key player in the UK’s vital construction industry we are following government guidelines closely, and we take our duty as a safe and responsible employer seriously.

Welcome to Wallis Road

Welcome to Telford Homes’ website for the 80-84 Wallis Road, Hackney Wick development project. Here you can keep up to date with the latest news about the site, progress with construction and get in touch with us.

We will be sending out regular email updates to neighbours on the project. If you would like to sign up for these please get in touch by using the details on the contact page.

Telford Homes purchased the site with planning permission from the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) for redevelopment of the site in February 2017. We have appointed a professional team to demolish and clean up the site, before building work commences. When complete the development will include:

• 110 new homes for sale and 10 affordable homes

• Just over 5,000 sqm (equivalent to about 19 tennis courts) of high quality commercial space including about 3,000 sqm of affordable workspace

• ‘Stone Studios’ has been designed by architects Pollard Thomas Edwards and was shortlisted for a Housing Design Award 2017
